The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2026 kicked off in Boao, Hainan from March 24 to 27, under the theme "Shaping a Common Future: New Situations, New Opportunities, New Cooperation".As a global leader in construction machinery and heavy equipment, Sany Group shared its insights on intelligent manufacturing, energy transition and industry development at the forum.

On March 24, Ban Ki-moon, Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, presided over the BFA General Meeting, where Tang Xiuguo spoke as a representative of member enterprises.
He pointed out that humanity is now rapidly stepping into the AI era, with embodied intelligence deeply integrated into equipment manufacturing. Enterprises must redefine products, develop disruptive technologies, and restructure business models. Yet no matter how technology evolves, equipment will remain the backbone of industry. Guided by this consensus, Sany Group has achieved annual sales exceeding 150 billion yuan, maintaining a positive loan-to-deposit ratio—making it one of the few 100-billion-yuan equipment manufacturers in the world that operates without bank loans.
Addressing uncertainties such as natural disasters, Tang Xiuguo recalled Sany’s participation in global relief efforts including the Wenchuan earthquake, the Chilean mining accident, and the Fukushima nuclear accident. Since the establishment of the Sany Public Welfare Foundation in 2013, Sany has built an agile and long-term rescue mechanism, capable of quickly mobilizing millions of equipment connected to its industrial internet platform across 180+ countries to respond to emergencies, helping the world face disasters without fear.
On March 25, at the sub-forum "Integrating Transportation and Energy for a Green Future" hosted by Energy China, Tang Xiuguo joined Ni Zhen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Energy China, Gao Xiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Dalian University of Technology, Mohammad Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power, and Luo Bixiong, Chief Scientist of Energy China, to discuss the construction of a new transportation and energy system.
Tang Xiuguo stated that Sany has built the industry’s most comprehensive new energy equipment portfolio covering the entire "source-grid-load-storage-vehicle" chain, including electric construction machinery, heavy trucks, and wind, solar, storage, and hydrogen solutions, creating a new growth curve for high-quality development.
